It’s an often mocked phrase, especially by those who are ignorant of I.T matters. For us that suffer the reality of working in a proper I.T department, switching a computer off and on again is the most popular phrase we’ll use, but I guarantee that in 99.9% of I.T requests will be solved by this simple operation.
Yet, after the 20th time of telling a user this, it’s mocked as a cop out excuse. They soon shut up when it comes back up working properly though.
